Mookaite (pronounced Mooka-ite) is named after Mooka Creek, which runs through the Kennedy Ranges in Western Australia. The stone was formed from the remains of microscopic protozoa called Radiolaria, which were deposited in shallow areas of the ocean bed over thousands of years. As the water receded, the remains were solidified by groundwater and other minerals.” 🌹🌹
